This is a GOLS patented (USPTO # 20080206730, USA) system and method of providing video in training. This uses combination of streaming audio and video along with PowerPoint slides, tests and notes to deliver highly effective training. Using a multi-sensory training methodology VBT™/ ABT™ enables not only more effective learning but also results in better retention of all that one has learnt.

Features:

  1. Based on ‘Learning object Model’ – learning is directed with specified business objectives
  2. Content that is re-usable across courses. For example generally for any company there are three distinct training programs for Sales team, Customer Service Agents and induction program for new joinees. Now by creating one product module, the company can plug in this product module in all of the three distinctive training programs, thereby reducing development costs. Here product training module is a reusable object across different courses / training programs
  3. Random question bank integrated with video learning objects
  4. Tagged content for advance archival and search. In the above example in point no.2 the company would create different modules of training, one for product training, another for sales, third for company’s vision, mission and management details etc. By tagging each module the company can create on-the-fly programs, by creating different profiles for different target groups.

How to do compliance training using VBT™/ABT™

Notes:

  • The system offers two alternative modes of delivery:
    • Video Based Training (VBT™) applicable for Broadband connections e.g. ADSL / DSL / Leased Line / WiMax
    • Audio Based Training (ABT™) applicable for Narrowband connections e.g. Dialup / Cable / Wireless (WiFi). The learner selects either of the two, based on the available connection speed
  • Compulsory attendance covering the prescribed course syllabus as tracked by the system. This may be set between (75% to 100%)
  • Must score minimum prescribed percentage (between 30% to 50%)
  • The learner is issued a compliance training certificate based on the prescribed compulsory attendance as tracked by VBT™ / ABT™ and scoring of minimum prescribed percentage as tracked by in-lesson and end of lesson tests / end of Up Arrowcourse test
